Learn to Skate
 
 
 
 
P.A.T. Youth Hockey is offering a great opportunity to youth interested in ice skating and the game of hockey. Our Learn to Skate program provides a structured environment with supervised instruction for new skaters to learn the fundamentals of skating.  The program combines established drills with fun skating games so new skaters learn and improve while having fun. 
 
Learn to Skate is recommended for skaters ages 3 and up, and is designed for those who have never skated or those who want to improve their hockey or figure skating.
 
All skaters are required to wear the following equipment:
Skates, Shin guards (please wear under clothing), HECC-approved Helmet, Elbow pads
Mittens, gloves, or hockey gloves
 
We will be offering a Fall program and a Winter program.  Both programs will be held at the Groton School rink, at 1:00pm on Saturdays.
 
Fall Program
October 9^th – December 10^th (10 weeks) – Cost $100
 
Winter Program
January 8^th – March 5^th (9 weeks) – Cost $90
 
Complete session schedules and registration forms are available at www.pat-hockey.org or by attending an in-person registration on Saturday, Oct. 9^th, 11:00am -1:00pm at the Groton School Rink. 
All skaters should arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the first session to sign in, dress and complete any additional paperwork.  Or, request registration forms by contacting us at:

Every participant MUST register with USA Hockey before taking the ice (children born before 2004 will incur a $35 fee).  To register, please go to www.usahockey.comand click the ‘Register Online’ entry under the PLAYERS menu.  Due to liability issues, NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE ICE UNTIL A PRINTED COPY of their USA Hockey registration is handed in.  The USA Hockey registration can be mailed to PAT at the above address, or handed in at the first Learn to Skate session.
